Valley Forge Printworks Tournament Series

Yes, I did create a page for the gaming tournaments that I run and sponsor through the business. Since September of 2023, we have completed four "jousting" tournaments in Warplanes: Battles Over The Pacific, and awarded fifteen trophies to seven players. As we streamlined the process, it became necessary to have a dedicated place for sign-ups that is independent of the Facebook groups. This also opens up the possibility of expanding upon the games that I can run tournaments for. And so, I created this page...

Jousting Tournaments

The VFP Jousting Tournament, held in Warplanes: Battles Over The Pacific, is a singles tournament where players use WW2 warbirds to emulate the Medieval pastime of running straight at an enemy with a big stick. Except we don't use sticks... At the end of the designated month, the top three players are sent a trophy (designed and printed by VFP) to celebrate their accomplishment.

May '25 Jousting Tournament

It is time to get back to our regularly scheduled programming!

This month, May, we will be flying the F4U-4 Corsair: The classic reverse gull winged fighter made famous by programs like "Baa Baa Black Sheep". Ironically it is also the fighter featured in all the Warplanes: Battles Over The Pacific title screens (and yet it took us two years to joust with it).

With six .50s and 8 rockets, this is more in line with our typical mounts for jousting. The speed, climb and turn rates, and hit points will likely play a major role in who comes out on top this month.

Just a reminder: This is the last Tournament that I can GUARANTEE!

May 11th

Here we go again...

Pilots, climb into your Corsairs and get ready for what promises to be a high scoring, closely contested battle for Jousting Dominance! With half a dozen .50s and eight rockets, as well as some of the best performance specs in the games, it will come down to skill more than anything.

Make sure you get time in the Corsair before the tournament starts, as some of the competitors fly this thing regularly...
