TDB
Not too small, not too big, the TDB is just right! Featuring windows, and our standardized part system, this bong is right on target as a mid-sized offering.

The TDB, or Thunderbolt, combines the features of its predecessors to bring a mid-sized option to the fight. Packing a punch you’ll see coming, and going, this waterpipe is the perfect all-arounder for those looking for something larger than the FTR and smaller than the MCL. Created to fill the gap between our two existing bongs, the TDB is almost exactly halfway between them in measurements.

Standing at 11.68 inches fully assembled, with an internal diameter of 4.5 inches, this mid-sized modular waterpipe separates into four pieces. Utilizing three large latches secured by screws and featuring two angled windows, this pipe borrows inspiration from the FTR and the MCL. Constructed in PLA, the interior is coated in food-safe resin, which guarantees water will not seep through the print and fills in around the windows and screw holes.
As with the MCL, the latches of the TDB were incorporated in the design of the reservoir. This ensures they fit snug to the surface and do not impact the integrity of the print when they are secured in place. With a new tooth pattern shared between the base and top, alignment of the reservoir is a simple matter. The angled windows sit astride the recessed slide port, giving the user a top-down view that leaves no question as to how cloudy it is.

With standardization as the cornerstone in all our bongs, the neck uses the same nut that is featured on the FTR with a custom internal gasket, while the profile is specific to the TDB. The slide screws are also the same, with one short and one tall to accommodate variations in the three inch “14mm to 19mm slotted diffuser down stem”. And, once more, the down stem and 14mm slide are the only fragile parts on this waterpipe. If you break them, replacements are readily available without needing to buy a while new pipe.

The modular design makes cleaning a trivial matter, allowing you to reach every surface of your pipe with ease. A custom gasket between the base and top of the reservoir keeps water in and air out once you have secured the latches. Ice can be added directly to the base before you latch the TDB shut, or, dropped down the neck to cool the smoke as it passes through. Filling the reservoir is possible with any sink, as the neck is removable, allowing you to get the water level just right without any hassle.
As a mid-sized offering, I could not be prouder of the TDB. Fulfilling my requirements of Survivability, Ease of Use, and Repairability while also bringing windows to a smaller frame, this waterpipe is one of my favorites. It’s sure to hit that mark for those looking for a sturdy, practical, and distinct piece.
